More About the Role

A Promoter Rep is essential in making concerts run smoothly by connecting the artist, venue, and promoter. Their work starts before the event by advancing all the details—coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and making sure technical and hospitality needs are met contractually and on time. During the event, the Promoter Rep is on-site, handling any last-minute challenges, making adjustments and acting as the main point of contact between the venue and the artist. They ensure everything runs smoothly, creating a positive experience for everyone involved. After the show, they settle the event by managing ticket sales and show expenses (such as artist payouts). This role offers a range of possibilities, giving you the freedom to shape your career in ways that best suit your goals. Some may choose to focus on specific local venues or collaborate closely with certain promoters. Others may take their careers on the road, touring with artists for promoters instead of staying in one place. For those with an entrepreneurial spirit, there's also the opportunity to start your own company, combining the roles of Talent Buyer and Promoter Rep. In this scenario, you’d take the lead in booking, advancing, and promoting your own events! This flexibility makes the role essential in the live music industry, contributing to the success of every event while offering a skill set that evolves with you, whether you choose to scale your career or explore other areas of the industry.

With 15 years of hands-on experience in the music industry, Stephanie has worked in production, coordination, and management across a variety of settings—from intimate music venues to large-scale 6000 capacity amphitheaters. Her background as a Promoter Rep for gives her the perfect foundation to guide you through this journey. Stephanie’s career in music began with a part-time sound engineering course and a job at a music store. From there, she began working various music venue roles such as venue liaison, merch seller, and box office representative. As her career evolved, Stephanie took on Promoter Rep roles starting in 2013, eventually touring with artists to support their live shows. By 2019, she made the leap into teaching and managing Promoter Reps, dedicating her time to helping others build their own careers in live events. Now, in 2025, Stephanie continues to empower students through this digital course, sharing the knowledge she’s gained over the years. Outside of teaching, she still supports artists as a Production Coordinator, working remotely while balancing life as a mom. Stephanie is here to help you build your confidence and skills in live events!
